The History of Moundsley Hall
Moundsley Hall Care Village Home has been open since June 1996.
Moundsley House was formally the Old Lord Major of Birmingham hunting lodge, when it was sadly destroyed and left to ruin. After decades of neglect, Moundsley House was constructed sitting on the original footprint of the former building. Moundsley House is a purpose built care home designed by Cross & Craig Architects and built by the owners who have been managing the village since this date.
Over the years the estate has been transformed to become a purpose built care village, offering a variety of care packages across four registered Care Homes. Each offering their own unique experience, while providing additional home comforts such as 24 sqm bedrooms with connecting private wet room en-suites and complementary Wi-Fi throughout.

We are a Care Village in Birmingham/Worcestershire providing care to the elderly, including Dementia Care, Nursing Care, and Respite care. We’re on six acres of tranquil, landscaped grounds. Our unique location, accessed by a tree-lined avenue, provides a country setting. We have beautiful, peaceful grounds where our residents and their loved ones can sit or wander and enjoy the wildlife and outdoor relaxation.
We have been providing care for over 27 years and pride ourselves on our purpose build facilities and team approach. From planning to implementing care, the principle aim of being “holistic” to ensure privacy, respect and dignity at all times is maintained.
Residents are involved where appropriate in planning their care and daily activities to enable them to achieve a full and enhanced quality of life.
Our staff aspire to create an environment conducive to well-being with good communication between residents and their families offering sympathy, understanding and support.
We are a family-owned care village supporting Birmingham and Worcestershire families.
FAQs
Our weekly fees depend on someone’s requirements following a comprehensive pre-admission assessment. We offer residential care for individuals with varying care needs.
Our fees typically cover billable items like local telephone calls, WiFi, group trips and outings, apart from things such as hairdressing, chiropody, and newspapers. It is advisable to visit and meet an admissions Manager in person to see the benefits of what we have to offer.
We are registered to care for people with nursing needs. Therefore, anyone eligible for this funding must request a care needs assessment.
Our rooms are incredibly spacious. Therefore, we have plenty of space to accommodate some personal pieces. Whilst being compliant with safety standards, bringing in everyday items and furniture pieces from home and personalising your room helps you to settle in.
Together with you and your relatives, our professional, experienced team will develop a care plan that recognises your dietary needs and tastes.
We would not expect you to change if your GP is local.
For any outings, including shopping trips and any extras you desire. Hence, it is a good idea to have a small amount that can be easily topped up.

Your local authority is legally obliged to provide your with a needs assessment. You can contact your local council or GP to arrange this.
A professional hairdresser visits weekly and provides service in the in-house salon or in the comfort of the resident’s room. A chiropodist also visits the village every week. There is the opportunity for manicures and hand massages also.
These services are additional and optional extras accessed via our Finance Department. They will be happy to set up a client account once an individual takes residence.
