Care Home Funding
This area can be quite complex and confusing and obtaining the relevant advice is crucial in deciding on a placement. Moundsley Hall Care Village admits residents with varying care home funding sources; we are in partnership with a number of NHS trusts and Local Authorities. Costs will vary depending on the type and level of care that the resident requires.
Source of Funding
This will depend on a financial assessment undertaken by an assigned social worker. If your relative is in hospital, the Discharge Liaison Nurse will assist you with this, alternatively, please contact us directly and we can advise you accordingly.
If I am paying privately who will help me?
You are welcome to come in for a chat with our Admissions/Finance Team who will explain the fee-structure and the different options available.

If your assets are over £23250 you must pay full fees. Below this amount you will be entitled to assistance from your local authority. Certain types of income, such as money from certain disability pensions and benefits, may not be calculated in the means test. This is the same for certain types of capital. All other capital and income, can be taken into account.
If you have an important health care need, then NHS may contribute towards the cost of your care. If you’re eligible for NHS continuing healthcare, your residential care homes placement will be free while you meet the criteria for eligibility.
If you are eligible for funding support, your local council could assist with your nursing care home funding and pay some or most of the fees. Your local council will carry out a care needs assessment which includes a financial assessment, called a means test, which looks at your income and savings this test will assess whether you can afford to pay for your own care and whether you’re eligible for financial help from the council.
