Respite Care

What is Respite Care?

Respite care in a residential or nursing home is a service for people who wish to stay somewhere on a short-term basis.

This might include people who need a little extra support whilst recovering from an illness or operation and can last for weeks or even a few months.

Respite care for elderly people can also be arranged to provide their primary carers with a well-earned rest.

This gives residents peace of mind, so that their main concern is getting better as we will look after everything else.

As always at, our main priority is our residents’ wellbeing and ensuring that they get the most out of each day they stay with us.

Arrange a Visit?

Why not visit and experience our unique Care Village environment

What can you expect?

Our inclusive care packages are applied to all of our residents, no matter how long the stay with us. This will include a person centred care plan and other tailored activities. Well-balanced and varied seasonal meal options are available throughout the day, as well as regular snacks and drinks.

Our activity centre is open to the whole village, where a host of in house experiences are created. We have local visiting groups and entertainers such as singers, theatrical parties and therapy animals to name a few. It is also possible to arrange trips out of the village and visit local attractions and amenities, a favourite at the moment is our local pub lunch.
